As storytellers, we are drawn to experiences and perhaps a little adventure. After living throughout Texas, New Mexico and, most recently, Oklahoma, we decided that a new chapter needed to be written. A new muse. So, we set out on our own "Lewis and Clark" expedition to the northwest. We settled on Bend, a city of modern day adventurers and thrill seekers. Only in a town that requires you to travel over a mountain pass in every direction will you find individuals with an excessive amount of optimism and entrepreneurship. Or it could be due to the altitude, adrenaline rushes and 300 days of sunshine. Either way, we are proud to call Bend home — at least until we start the next volume of our nomadic journey.
